B's birthday morning

I'm a bit behind in posting about Baylen's first birthday. My boys are down for a nap right now at the same time - SHOCKER, so I thought I'd upload some pictures of his birthday morning.

9:46 am - Officially a big one year-old!

We were invited to my aunt's house for Baylen's birthday lunch. It was a Wednesday, so Kennick was at mom's house, too. How fun! For B's first birthday he got to play with his big brother and two of his cousins!

B loved my cousin's rocking horse.

But his favorite was Kenle's play house.

After the bigger kids had started the trend, B had to join in and help "wash dat house," too.

After I took this picture, he looked up and started crying He, too, didn't like icing on his hands. Oh, well. It was a fun birthday morning!

Heath sent me these pictures today (yay for camera phones), and I had to upload them!

Because he's cute

I figure no one gets tired of seeing pictures of cute baby boys...

so I thought I'd upload some more.

Even with mud on his forehead, he's handsome. 

Have I mentioned that my boys love shovels? And yes, there's that dog again.

Pudgy belly and plump legs ... mama loves it.

Our little friend

This dog has definitely become a regular at our house. Every time I've been to check on things, pick out colors, or drop something off, this four-legged creature has been there to greet me. And he/she has been there keeping all the workers company, too.

Here he/she is in our house looking out the window at me...

He/she eats the treats the workers bring for him/her, lays in the sun right next to the bulldozers and track-hoes as they work, and makes himself/herself right at home. Cash and B seem to enjoy having the dog around, too.

Too bad Heath's already named it "Ratshot."

Working at the house

I'm titling this "Working at the house" not "Working on the house" because as you can tell from the pictures, the boys were hard at "work" just not on the house. Heath was definitely working on the house this day. It was actually one of the days in March that he took off work so he could pour the front and back porches. The boys had a blast (and were super cute) and the porches turned out awesome!

This boy loves gravel!

This picture is one of my new favorites... what can I say - he's adorable.

He stood on the dirt pile in front of the house watching daddy finish the concrete.

This one preferred to take advantage of all the dirt to be "moved."

The boys also got to see the siding being delivered, another pile of gravel dumped in the driveway, and the log stove being reset. What a fun day!

It was a pretty warm day for mid-March. Water break!

What a beautiful porch!

We had a great day hanging out with daddy as he worked. We even got to have lunch with him! I caught these two pictures with my phone after we left the house. They were fast asleep before I even got to the interstate...

Cash: (handing me my camera) Here, mommy. It broke.

Me: (taking the camera and looking it over) Thanks, lovie. I think it's okay. It's just not turned on right now.

Later that day I went to get my camera and the lens fell off of it. I examined it closer to see that the black rim that holds the lens in place was in fact completely broken - as in, not there anymore. After asking Cash where he found the camera earlier that day, he explained to me "Me dropped it."

I'm still not sure where he found it or how he dropped it, but I guess I'm in the market for either a new lens or a whole new camera. *sigh*
