A morning with Grammy

On Tuesday, Grammy came down to spend the morning with us, and did we ever have a big morning!

Our neighbor friends down the road were on vacation for a few days, and they put us in charge of collecting the eggs from their seven chickens. We were also keeping an eye on their mama cats and kittens. The boys had the biggest time with this new job! Here's Cash on his way to collect the eggs!

The boys would seriously get in the chicken coop and run to find any eggs that had been laid. I think we got a total of seven eggs during the three day period that we checked on them. This kitten was Cash's favorite, and he followed us everywhere we went.

I guess both the boys loved the kitten, but Cash especially fond of him.

After checking on our neighbor's creatures, we drove back to our garden to pick some beans with Grammy. Our Roma beans were ready to be picked and canned.

Here's Grammy showing B how it's done. They were interested at first, but soon started to get distracted, so I finished the harvesting.

Wow! Look at the beans! Mom canned them for me at her house (I don't have a pressure canner) and we got four pints from these! Yay!
