B&N and friends

Last Friday, Kenick's school had a special tea party with their mothers for Valentine's Day. The tea was in the morning, and after it was over, school was out for the rest of the day. So Karalee took off the rest of the day to play with Kennick, and they decided to come to Bowling Green to see us!

At the same time, some Fridays we get together with Amy and her two little sweeties, so we added the whole bunch together for a fun morning. Instead of the usual story time at the library, Karalee suggested that we try the story time at Barnes and Noble. Amy and I had never taken our kiddos, so we agreed.

Here's the three bigger kids waiting for the story to begin. Three three-year olds, all within five months of each other! (And all blonde, with no blonde parents!)

Here's Amy and I with the two little ones. Emaline will be one in just a few weeks, and B will be two in about a month. I guess they're not so little anymore. :(

 Cousins telling secrets

B looks pretty excited here. Maybe this was after the lady announced they would be giving out hot chocolate and rice krispy treats...

Yes, they gave all the small children cups with straws filled with hot chocolate. Smart idea? I'm not sure. I think more hot chocolate got on the floor and the kids than was actually enjoyed.

Once they were settled with it, though, they loved it. Interestingly enough, I think they were so involved with drinking that they had no idea that a story was being read.

After the story, the parents, I mean kids, made wreaths for Valentine's Day. Here's Amy helping Cash with his.

Anne Rhoades was busy on the stage making hers on her own. Big girl!

And here's Karalee and Kennick after they finished their's. They were cute wreaths, but a bit complex for such little kids, in my opinion.

After leaving Barnes and Noble, we headed to Chick-fil-a for lunch and some playtime in their playplace. The kiddos loved being able to run out some energy while us three moms chatted and relaxed.

yeah, I think craft time was thought out by a woman with either no kids or only one who is currently 8.
