When Cash was 15 months old (and I was 15 weeks pregnant with B) we took a trip to this same area. Cash loved the sand and the water, the waves and the pools. Heath and I knew that B would have the same reaction, and we were right. It was love at first sight for our little B!
As soon as we got to our condo, we unpacked, found our swim suits and headed for the beach. It was overcast and we saw some rain moving in, but we just had to get out there. Cash ran ahead of us all, zooming down the boardwalk. Baylen watched big brother and did the same, not knowing what he was in for!
Heath and Cash took off across the sand for the water!
When B's feet hit the sand, he slowed down. I could tell he was taking it all in.
He marched around in circles for awhile, trying to figure it out.
Then he sat down and started playing. He was content as could be, and he hadn't even made it to the water yet! :)
This is what we saw looking west. Some people were heading in, but not us. We just got there!
B finally made his way to the waves. With some hesitation at first, I could tell he was unsure, but after watching Cash and daddy, he made his way into the water.
It took Cash awhile to get used to it, too. How much can he really remember from our last trip?
Heath took them both out in the water to check out the waves, holding on tight.
They had the biggest time, though, running from the waves as they lapped onto the shore.
Brave little boy (white belly)
Heath took him out a bit farther so he could feel the waves bob them up and down. I could hear him laughing and giggling from the shore.
Big brother was having a grand time playing chase with the waves.
So thankful to share God's creation with these little boys while enjoying some time away from work for Heath.
Cash and Heath went out into the waves next, finding some fish and a few sting rays while they were exploring the gulf.
The sand didn't bother this one a bit. He dug right in with his hands, finding shells and playing with his toys.
It didn't rain on us that afternoon while at the beach (although it did come a flood while we were eating that night at The Oyster House), and so began our wonderful beach vacation...
