Cash and baby 'Engine

On the 16th, baby Benjamin came to our house while his mommy worked. After breakfast, the boys wanted to do some school games. So I let Benjamin play with some markers (tops on, of course) while the boys "worked."

"Baby 'Engine" as B calls him is the most content little guy! Cash calls him Benjamin and tries his hardest to correct Baylen. So far, he's had little success in teaching his little brother their friend's correct name. :)

I am so proud of this little guy's writing skills. We went round and round last fall learning how to hold his pencil correctly. I did not give up (thank you, Jan Lawless, for instilling this important skill in me!), and now he holds his pencil correctly and hopefully always will.

After practicing his writing skills, Cash put some different size pictures of nests in order from smallest to largest. Every time he taped one to the window he would shake his finger and laugh, telling baby Benjamin not to take them down. Benjamin got the biggest kick out of Cash's silliness.

Cash loves playing with him and looks forward to days when baby Benjamin comes over.

There are a few tears shed when mommy leaves, but overall, I think baby Benjamin enjoys the company he has here, too.

Silly boys! They had a great time playing this morning.

(Baylen was in his chair concentrating so hard on his wipe-off board and magnet activities. Obviously, he had no time for their goofing off. :) )
