Blocks and "baby engine"

When we moved onto Moats Lane we gained lots of great neighbors. I've written about our good friends Mike and Lara a few times, but I don't think I've mentioned Mike's daughter, Allison, and her family. Lee and Allison live down the road a bit, and they built their house around the same time that we built our's. The Hatchers, and their three kids, have become some fun friends. Between the two families, we have five children, stair-stepping down from 5 years old to a recent one year-old.

The recent one year-old is "baby Benjamin," and about once a week, he comes to our house and plays with the boys while his mommy works. "Baby engine" as it sounds when Baylen says his name, is completely loved by my two guys. They get out every toy in the basket downstairs to keep him occupied, show him every toy upstairs in the playroom, and make plenty of faces and noises to make him laugh. He's an easy-going, laid back little fellow, so our days with him are a joy.

These are always the first toys that the boys get out for Benjamin to play with. These foam blocks are always a bit hit when all three of the boys are playing together.

What a handsome little guy -- sweet temperament and a big eater!

When Baylen wakes up in the mornings and sees that "baby engine" is here, he always smiles and laughs! I'm not sure what he's doing here. :)

Cash builds towers with the blocks and lets Benjamin knock them down. That says a lot since this lil' man usually knocks down his own towers.

We usually get in plenty of playtime while Benjamin is around. Then it's lunch time and nap time. I've been fairly successful at getting all three boys down at the same time in the afternoon. That way I can use  that time to pick up after this trio!

Happy and goofy -- just another day playing with blocks and "engine!"
