By the numbers

Here's a quick run-down of the Doggett house by the numbers:


4 - number of confiscated items on top of the mantle right now (two toy hammers, a sword and a bat)


3 - number of people that have run off our driveway in the past two weeks making a mess of the yard


7 - number of wrapped packages under the tree


34 - the amount of Christmas cards we've received that are decorating our mantle and bookshelves


three - number of boxes of Kleenex we've gone through in the past three weeks


0 - total deer we've seen in the yard in the past week (Where are my deer friends?)


11 - total items that the boys take each morning (six Juice Plus gummies, one probiotic and four DHA supplements)


8 - total vegetables I cut up moments ago to put in the crock-pot with the roast (five potatoes, two carrots and one onion)


8 - number of wooden stakes Heath put in the yard Saturday after the third person ran all over the yard making a muddy mess


many - amount of presents I still have to wrap and put under the tree


2 - number of candles that our family held last night during the candle-light service at church


2 - number of people that got wax on them while holding the candles at the candle-light service at church


1 - total number of deer that Heath has killed so far this season


29 - pounds of country, locally-made pork sausage I picked up last Friday


58 - number of miles I drove with the boys and my Granny to get the sausage


38 - amount of new ornaments that we've added to our tree this year during Advent


10 - number of days until our good friends find out the sex of their second baby :)


3 - number of family get-togethers that we have planned for the coming weekend


6 - amount of large totes that I've been sorting through thinking about purging some baby clothes :(


100 - total number of baby chicks that we saw last week at our friends' farm


1 - the number of chicks that Cash held very tightly


and 16 - the number of pillows and cushions that are in Heath and I's room right now in the formation of a fort
